Born From Adventure.

Marc grew up in Wyoming, where the outdoors wasn’t just somewhere you went — it was part of everyday life.

From exploring the mountains and open country as a kid to discovering a passion for fly fishing, being outside has always been a big part of who he is. Over the years, that passion has taken him to rivers, trails and fishing destinations near and far.

But it was one particular trip that sparked an idea — and eventually became ROVE.

While fishing the flats in Mexico, Marc found himself dealing with a familiar problem: he wanted protection from the intense sun, bugs and the elements, but didn’t want to spend the entire day in heavy, wet pants.

So, he improvised.

He cut up a pair of leggings to create coverage only where he needed it. It wasn’t pretty, but it worked — and more importantly, it made him wonder why there wasn’t a better option.

That question stayed with him after the trip.

What started as a makeshift solution became an idea for something purpose-built: lightweight leg protection that could provide coverage without changing the rest of your gear or getting in the way of the experience.

After testing, refining and figuring out what actually worked in the outdoors, that idea became ROVE Leg Shields.

ROVE was created for people who would rather be outside than thinking about their gear. Whether that means standing in a river all day, hiking through brush, paddling open water or spending a day along the shore, the goal is the same: practical protection that’s easy to bring along and comfortable enough to forget you’re wearing it.

And for Marc, ROVE is still rooted in the same thing that started it all — a love of being outside, exploring new places and finding a better way to stay out there longer.
